Below: the price in year one and after, what the panel measures and misses, who orders and reads the test, the cancellation window, and when InsideTracker still makes sense. The scorecard is on the InsideTracker review page, and every service is ranked on the best blood tests page.
What InsideTracker costs
Prices come from InsideTracker's own store (store.insidetracker.com, read October 31, 2026). The store refused automated readers on our citation check, so the figures below are as we read them by hand on that date.
| Plan | First-year price | Draws | Measured markers | NY, NJ, RI, HI, AZ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Membership + Ultimate Blood Test | $489, includes the yearly platform fee | 1 | 48 | $608 with the required $119 mobile draw |
| Membership + 2 Ultimate Blood Tests | $761 (listed as 10% off $829) | 2 | 48 each | $999 with two mobile draws (our arithmetic) |
| Mobile blood draw add-on | $119 per draw | Required in these five states |
Two things push the real cost up. First, the store says residents of New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Arizona must use a mobile phlebotomist, so every draw there costs more. Second, a sale price covers the first term only. Its terms of service say that a sale price is valid for the initial term only and that later memberships renew at the full retail price at the time of renewal. InsideTracker does not publish the renewal price on the store, so year two is an unknown until you see the renewal notice.
What the panel measures and misses
The store says "up to 54" biomarkers. The newest published list we could find names 49, and three of them apply to women only. After setting aside the one calculated value, we count 48 measured markers.
It covers ApoB, hs-CRP, fasting insulin, cortisol, total and free testosterone, ferritin, vitamin D and B12, plus a full blood count. It does not include Lp(a), homocysteine, PSA or thyroid antibodies, and estradiol is on the women's list only. If Lp(a) matters to you, you would buy it separately; our Lp(a) cost guide prices it at every lab store. Plan-by-plan coverage is on the biomarker table and the ApoB page.

Who orders the test, and who reads it
A physician in InsideTracker's network approves the order, and draws happen at Quest or through a mobile phlebotomy partner. Its terms of service state that all of its partner labs are CLIA-certified. You can check a lab on the CMS QCOR CLIA lookup.
No doctor reviews your results or meets with you as part of the plan. Recommendations come from InsideTracker's algorithm and science team. That is the main difference from Function, Superpower and Empirical, where clinicians review each result.
Cancellation and refunds
The cancellation window is unusually long. Its terms of service require you to cancel 30 days before the next recurring billing date to avoid the next charge, and say partly used billing periods are not refunded or credited. Miss that window and the renewal goes through.
Refunds are narrow. The same terms limit refund requests to 30 days from purchase or renewal, and rule out any refund on a blood test once the sample has been collected. Set a reminder 31 days before your renewal date if you plan to stop.
Privacy
InsideTracker's privacy policy says it has policies designed to comply with HIPAA standards for privacy and security. The same policy says anonymized blood test results, fitness tracker data and self-reported information may be included in disclosures to third parties for research. Our privacy comparison puts that next to every other service.
InsideTracker vs Function Health
| InsideTracker Ultimate | Function Health | |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly price | $489 first year | $365 |
| Draws a year | 1 (2 on the bigger plan) | 2 |
| Measured markers | 48 | 99 |
| Cost per measured marker | $10.19 | $3.69 |
| Lp(a) included | No | Yes |
| Clinician reviews results | No | Yes |
| States | All 50, mobile draw required in five | Not RI or HI |
Function measures about twice as many markers, includes Lp(a), adds a second draw and a clinician review, and costs less. Function's FAQ also says it "does not offer refunds for prior payments" (Function FAQ), so neither is generous on refunds. The full pairing is on Function vs InsideTracker, and cheaper options are in our Function Health alternatives guide.
Our verdict
InsideTracker is for people who want an app-led action plan and wearable syncing and do not need a clinician. On price per measured marker it ranks near the bottom of the memberships we track, and the 30-day cancellation window and unpublished renewal price add risk. In Hawaii, where Function, Superpower and Quest's own store do not sell, it is one of the few memberships available, with the draw at home. For most buyers, a cheaper membership on our price page measures more for less.
Questions
FAQ
Is InsideTracker worth it?
For most buyers, not on price. The Ultimate plan works out at about $10.19 per measured marker, against $3.69 for Function Health, and no clinician reviews results. InsideTracker suits people who value its app, wearable syncing and algorithmic plan over breadth or a doctor's read.
How much does InsideTracker cost?
$489 for the first year of Membership + Ultimate, including the platform fee, as read on its store on October 31, 2026. Residents of New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Arizona must add a mobile draw for each test. Renewals are charged at full retail price.
Is InsideTracker better than Function Health?
On the numbers, Function measures about twice as many markers, includes Lp(a), draws twice a year and has clinicians review every result, for less money. InsideTracker's strengths are its app, wearable data and nutrition plans. Our side-by-side shows each line with its source.
Does a doctor review InsideTracker results?
No. A physician approves the test order, but results feed InsideTracker's algorithm, which writes the recommendations. No consult or clinician summary is part of the plan. For what a result means for you, talk to your own clinician.
How do I cancel InsideTracker?
Cancel from the Manage Membership button on your orders page at least 30 days before the next billing date, per its terms. Refund requests are limited to 30 days from purchase or renewal, and no refund is given on a test once blood has been collected.
Is InsideTracker available in New York?
Yes, but only with a mobile phlebotomist, which the store says is required for New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Arizona residents. That adds a per-draw fee on top of the plan price. See our [New York page](/states/new-york) for other services there.
